Peak – BBNO$ Comeback Concert

Continuing to stand out from the multiplayer indie crowd as more than just a one-and-done Saturday afternoon adventure, Peak gives players another reason to get their friends together. Since its release in June, the Peak team hasn’t been shy about their quirkiness. From day one the Peak developers were infiltrating the games of popular streamers, speaking through Bing Bong, the darling mascot of Peak. Taking him on every climb has become a must. This weekend only—until 12/15/25—Peak presents Climb to the Beat, an in-game concert featuring BBNO$ with guest stars Ironmouse, Vanillamace, and Bing Bong.

The event isn’t a climbing rhythm game, but how cool would that be? Instead, it’s a fun concert that can be activated when scouts first wake up from the plane crash. When a scout sounds the special event bugle, BBNO$ will rise from the ocean like Poseidon himself, ready to give the performance of a lifetime. Scouts can pop and climb to 1-800, Two, and Bing Bong. I think Peak’s simple cartoon style is perfect for making the creators look recognizable by using their most defining features on their character models. For each of these fabulous creators, it’s their unique hair styles. During this event, which is unfortunately drawing to a close, scouts can unlock an Ironmouse hairstyle cosmetic by clicking 7, 7 times on their keyboard while in the airport. The Peak team has stated the cosmetic is not permanent and will disappear after the event. Get on and get some photos of your travels as Ironmouse!

This crossover concert comes with its own dramatic lore; it wasn’t an easy road for Bing Bong to get BBNO$ on a plane to the Peak. Aggro Crab was very vocal on their TikTok, showing off emails that Bing Bong was sending to BBNO$ for a collab. BBNO$ is known for leaking projects in a very joking manner through emails, so it was a fun little switch for the company to leak the plans first. In a hilarious coincidence BBNO$ was actually pulling a quitting music stunt at the exact same time. It was actually the day the Peak devs sent an email to BBNO$; he announced his retirement. After this quitting news spread around the internet, the Aggro Crab account was filled with sad shower edits of Bing Bong, his dreams now crushed. Luckily BBNO$ could use this as a comeback show, and it was delightful to see the first video of BBNO$ as an orange scout dancing in the ocean. Bing Bong is more than a host for this event; he can also be seen breaking it down next to his favorite singer. A real dream come true.

More than just a silly stunt, the Peak devs made a comment on the Steam Community blog post saying the concert is “a thank you celebration for such an amazing year on Peak! Thank you for all the awards and love on our goofy friendslop game—we couldn’t have done it without our Peak community backing us up.” Peak is something simple but special, and I think it’s because the creative team behind it is full of passion for their project. They’re not afraid to be silly alongside their community, which makes it even stronger. You’ve got tickets and a concert to go to; get on that plane!
