Welcome to the big top, take your seat, and keep your eyes on the center ring of this week. The X-Box Showcase Edition.
Gears of War E-Day is officially releasing on October 6th, 2026, and will be playable through Game Pass on day one. Once again taking control of Marcus Phoenix, players will get to experience the origin stories that shaped their favorite characters. Explore the city of Kalona, watch it change as the Locust threat invades. The game adds a new perspective to the lore. Emergence Day is a return to form as developers The Coalition and People Who Fly strive to make Gears of War E-Day a bone-chilling, gory experience. The giant Reaver actually looks really creepy.
Atlus brought two announcements with them. Persona 4 Revival will be released on February 18th, 2027. Revival isn’t just a graphical update; it’s a complete remake of Persona 4. The character sprites look incredible, but it’s more than that. Revival will include a new guard mechanic as well as the baton pass mechanic, which was introduced in 5. Persona 6 was revealed with the tiniest teaser trailer that gave nothing away. All I can hope for is that the vibes from the trailer mean we’re in for a horror-based persona. I’m curious about the theming of the game based on the graves and the very green color scheme. It’s kind of giving the witching hour from Persona 3.
Fable’s latest installment has been delayed from the fall of 2026 to the more official date of February 23rd, 2027. I think this will give the title the spotlight it deserves at the beginning of next year. Fable’s team released the Collector’s Edition, showcasing the goodies included. The collector’s edition not only comes with in-game goodies like special armor sets to customize your character but also physical items for fans to display in their game room. The most anticipated item has to be the limited edition Jack of Blades statuette. IGN has a 30-minute gameplay demo on YouTube that sold me on entering the fantasy world of Fable.
What are you planning to play first on Game Pass? Have a berry good day!
