A winning Uma is called to the stage to celebrate her accomplishments and thank her fans for believing in her. The idol portions of Uma Musume feel like the whipped cream on top of the sweet parfait of a game. It’s fun seeing the elaborate stage costumes, and I always feel a sense of pride as a trainer when I unlock a new song. I don’t think there is a bad Uma Musume song; they’re all catchy. Good news: the horse girls are going on a world tour! Bad news: it’s extremely limited.
For the first time, the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby girls will be performing outside of Japan, going on stages around the globe. Cygames released a trailer for the Stage World Tour Uma Musume’s 7th event. The Tokyo leg of this tour wrapped up in June, and next on their list are Los Angeles, London, Seoul, and Yokohama. The Los Angeles shows will be held at the Peacock Theater on October 22nd and 23rd, 2026. Tickets for this show go on sale July 23rd at 10 a.m. The venues and dates for the other shows on the tour haven’t been revealed yet.
It’s a shame that the concert is only going to one venue in the US, but I think the two shows that run will show Cygames that global fans will support Uma Musume events. I’m expecting these shows to sell out quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised to see travel vlogs in October of people traveling across the country for these concerts. Uma Musume Pretty Derby captivated global fans quickly with the anime and mobile game, and I feel like the movie that released in February was a good example of fans turning up for their favorites. Uma Musume: Beginning of a New Era released to American audiences and made $900,000US it’s opening weekend. Fans showed up to theaters in cosplay, and some talented cosplayers danced with light sticks for their fellow theater goers at the end of the film. It was a genuinely fun time. Other Uma events that have become popular recently are cosplay races. Uma Musume cosplayers don the attire of their favorite horse girl and hit the track themselves. It feels like one of those anime that inspires their fans to take care of themselves and pursue healthier lifestyles.
A cast list has been released, and actresses have been chosen to portray the characters Jungle Pocket, Dantsu Flame, and Manhattan Cafe. This is a different cast than the ones who performed in Japan, and I find it interesting that Cygames chose several characters from the Beginning of a New Era film. I’m curious what metrics were used to decide what Uma’s will be at each performance. I’m curious to see the cast line-ups for other global performances. I wish Taiki Shuttle had made the cut to join for the American performances. I think she’d become a fan favorite.
The Stage World Tour announcement comes as the global game celebrates one and a half years of being live. The event is celebrating by giving fans free pulls for characters as well as support cards, a new gameplay scenario, and more! It’s an exciting time to be an Uma Musume fan. I think The Stage World Tour is going to be one of those performances that reignite your soul when you see it live. There is so much fun inspiration music in Uma Musume. I play it in the background when I need an extra motivational push. If you attend the concert, shake your light stick extra hard for me, who lives way too far away.
