A boat has docked in Eorzea, and it’s inviting all warriors of light to a party on deck. The Moonfire Faire is in full swing, celebrating the end of summer with a giant pool party. Completing the quest line for this seasonal event will reward players with an Inflatable Mograft, which may be my favorite mount now. Moonfire Faire fest runs until August 26th. The event quest can be started in the upper decks of Limsa Lominsa. Go for the mount, stay for the water slide and fireworks.
Hello Kitty is making monster kawaii and stomping her way to the Golden Arches. She’s five apples tall and making friends with Kaiju during the Hello Kitty x Godzilla collab with McDonald’s. For a limited time, Happy Meals will include a Sanrio character cosplaying as popular monsters from Godzilla. There have been sightings of Hello Kitty herself climbing the McDonald’s sign to promote her new friendship. She’s bringing whimsical marketing back with her own two paws. These toys are exclusive to this McDonald’s promotion. I know where I’m going for lunch.
Wattpad has banned explicit content from their fanfiction site! Kind of. Wattpad updated their terms of service, which vaguely states that certain types of explicit content are no longer allowed. This includes stories that have no plot and are written just to showcase explicit content. It gives the site a lot of power to decide what is and is no longer appropriate if they think the plot isn’t strong enough for a certain story. Wattpad has had deals with publishers, and I think their new endeavor is more about brand deals and less about fanfiction, which is illegal to monetize. These are terms of service you should read before being sold to One Direction.
